Youth Employment Scheme – Tasmania

A range of measures designed to help local businesses through these difficult economic times.

Introducing a Youth Employment Payroll Tax Rebate scheme from April 1

The Tasmanian Government has recognised the positive impact young workers have on businesses, and from April 1 will introduce a Youth Employment Payroll Tax Rebate scheme to encourage businesses to hire more young people – helping keep Tassie youth employed.

The health, safety and wellbeing of Tasmanians is our number one priority as we face the challenge of coronavirus. The Tasmanian Liberal Government has prepared a $420 million stimulus package to support Tasmania as we tackle the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Further information will be provided as it becomes available.
